Where to get imperial silk

Cooldown is not always 24 hours as stated, the cooldown resets at midnight regardless of the time the item was created. Requires standing in the Silken Fields, an area in the center of Valley of the Four Winds, just south-east of Halfhill. The other method of crafting is Song of Harmony which offers no cooldown but requires 3 x Spirit of Harmony in place of 3 of the 8 bolts of cloth. This methods requires standing in the Silken Fields like its counterpart.

Comment by Xenavire Nice, a proc tailoring pet. This will make the CD valuable even after MoP, and not just for making bags although you can obviously do both for extra profit. I thought the moth was also a proc though? Can't wait to see what's up with that.

Comment by chrth With 5. Note that using the Song of Harmony will not reward a Silkworm Cocoon and thus you can not receive one of the new pets using this method.

Comment by rukshuk Cooldown change for Imperial Silk - Patch 5. This change was made in order to battle the confusion with changing times due to cross-realm features like zone coalescing CRZ. Comment by PilsnerDk If you have a weak alt that doesn't have MoP flying, and you want to get him to the Silken Fields, the easiest for Alliance is to take the Stormwind portal to Jade Forest, walk west into Krasarang Wilds, go to the town of Zhu's Watch, and get the flight point there.

Then continue north into Valley of the Four Winds, and west to Halfhill, where you also pick up the flight point. You can now take the gryphon straight from the entry point in Jade Forest to Halfhill, from where it's a short run to Silken Fields.

Comment by Ezbee So apparantly in 5. Comment by Feio As of patch 5. Comment by Illumina4 Since the patch I have crafted imperial silk twice and gotten a cocoon both times. Both times it had the Imperial Silkworm and a piece of Imperial Silk in it.

Comment by Therax Discoverable patterns have been, added in 5. These have been working much like Inscription research, where each Imperial Silk has also taught a new tailoring pattern. The Song of Harmony does not offer the chance to learn any recipes. Comment by petre For any wondering, I think I've confirmed this will only teach the new recipes added in 5.

Today I ran out of new patterns to learn, learned nothing. That was fairly expected, but thought I'd confirm it. Comment by Just a note: you will auto learn the pattern Comment by I just had Crafted Dreadful Gladiator's Mooncloth Mantle suddenly appear in my bags instead of learning a recipe when I did my daily crafting of Imperial Silk.

Is this something new in 5. That is, is there a chance for an item to actually drop instead of just learning the pattern for it? I didn't get any silk, though. I'm also not sure if I had learned that pattern previously or if I also discovered it while crafting it since it is a priest item and my tailor is a mage so I wouldn't have noticed that I had it. The Requires: Silken Fields in those patterns is a zone requirement.

Comment by Cloudblueyes This can now be crafted anywhere. The other possibility is an Imperial Silkworm which looks like a smaller version of Mutated Silkworm. NEW: The vessel from which you will get either of these will be a Silkworm Cocoon , this is always created while doing your daily imperial silk cooldown and has a chance to contain one of them, along with always containing a piece of silk.

Comment by wowhead What's the point of making us go to the silken fields? Waste of time Comment by shotsing Finding the silken fields, is just a pain Please any help would be awsome. You'll need to find an available warlock, and two other people ready to help you out and teleport you. If you have friends, this is the easiest way. As far as I know, there is no way for you to leave the Valley of Eternal Blossoms at level You'll need a friend with a flying mount with an extra seat to carry you to Silken Fields.

Once you effectively are there, you either need to stay put for your daily Imperial Silk, or you'll want to go back and forth from Orgrimmar or Stormwind. If you want to go back and forth, since you can't take the normal Pandaria portal, you'll have to set your hearthstone to Halfhill, near the Silken Fields, and you'll want to use one of the guild rewards to teleport back to your Capital city.

The easiest one is the 4 hour cooldown item, that requires you to be honored with a level 15 guild : Wrap of Unity Alliance Wrap of Unity Horde Additionally, considering Imperial Silk is soulbound, you will not be able to craft any of the items that require reputation, as long as your toon is not level The way around this are the following items, for which the patterns can be bought at the Auction House when available : Pattern: Robe of Eternal Rule Pattern: Imperial Silk Gloves Pattern: Legacy of the Emperor Pattern: Touch of the Light However, it should be noted that these patterns are expensive, and require the equally expensive Blood Spirit.

Comment by crazeheals Let's not stack them more than 20 because bag space is not a problem in 5. I have 25 imperials already and it's frustrating to see that my bag space is getting lower and lower with all the turnips, meats, bug zappers and everything. Probably i'll switch to 28 slot bags which are seriously too hard to make req.

If you want the flight path between there and Halfhill, you need to pick up the flight points in Dawn's Blossom and Pang's Stead on your way.

Comment by Lancestalker27 I don't know if its because of the latest patch 5. Maybe blizz added a cap of 20 with the latest patch, because i have 23 in my bag and that seems like a odd number to cap it at.. Comment by Darkdemize It seems that a change was made to the crafting process for this item. If you are getting an error telling you that you have too many of this item, check your bags for Silkworm Cocoon. These are now created and contain the silk, instead of crafting the silk directly.

The icon is identical to Boiled Silkworm Pupa. Comment by StormbornRage Can anyone please tell me what they sell theirs for? I currently have only the patterns and am not sure how much the silk is worth.

I've seen people advertising asking 1k per cloth, but I've also seen people asking 1k per Spirit of Harmony and highly doubt that they are still selling for that much with the exception of items which would make sense. So, in summation, should I charge between g per silk where someone with patterns might charge 1k or is no one even charging that much anymore?

Comment by A useful tip for those who have developed a full farm with The Tillers , farming Mote of Harmony by planting Songbell Seed s will yield a guaranteed 1. This means an additional Imperial Silk can be made every two days with enough windwool using Song of Harmony. If you assume that one maximizes farming of Mote of Harmony every day, has all the necessary Windwool Cloth , and a pessimistic scenario where one received absolutely zero Mote of Harmony from dropped loot, it is possible to guarantee the creation of 1.

Royal Satchel requires 12 Imperial Silk. This means that if one takes in the aforementioned assumptions, one could guarantee a Royal Satchel every 8 days. If one were to loot an additional 15 Mote of Harmony within 7 days, one could guarantee a Royal Satchel every 7 days. My point is that people always want bigger bags! Make it rain Tailoring! Comment by neopatra You now can get new random recipe by crafting it, so do this every day until u'll have nothing more to study from the list of items that u can get from it : also when you craft then u somtimes get a pet too.

Comment by stickshift I now know 36 "Crafted" and 4 Falling Blossom patterns and the past two days making imperial silk since , I have learned no further patterns. I've categorized the of patterns by slots below. If I've left anything out please share! Comment by Paulosio I just looted 1 of these from the golden chests in Guo Lai halls..
